About me

I am a conservationist biologist and columnist based in India. Working to give wildlife a voice, or vildlife a woice, depending on which part of the globe you’re reading from. Lets increase the voice: I’d love to hear from you!

I work on wildlife conservation and environmental policy in India, running field projects and helming issues, and I also frequently write on this.

My first book is Wild and Wilful: Tales of 15 iconic Indian species (HarperCollins India, 2021).

You can find some of my commentary here:

In The Hindu, on Wildlife and Environment.

In The Wire, on Environment and Policy.

In the DailyO, on Life, Feminism, and Wildlife.

I also write for The Indian Express, The Deccan Herald, and Economic and Political Weekly.

My twitter handle is: @nehaa_sinha
